Moon, Jupiter and Venus
Another beautiful night! We can see crescent Moon just below Jupiter and Venus. Hopefully we will all be able to enjoy this view in the west during the next several days. Tomorrow, March 25th, we will observe Moon and Jupiter closest to each other and the next day on March 26th, we will be able to see Moon and Venus very close together. This is really a unique view! And just above Venus you will be able to see "The Pleiades" - known also as The Seven Sisters. This star cluster is visible to the naked eye. The Pleiades are located in the constellation of Taurus. The Pleiades are a prominent sight in winter in the Northern Hemisphere and in summer in the Southern Hemisphere, and have been known since antiquity to cultures all around the world.
