New Year Eve's Song - a month later

One more Capricorn performer. Pitbull - Armando Christian Perez was born on January 15, 1981. Always stylish and classy and with a true sense of humor - a true Capricorn. Here is his Times Square New Year's Eve song.
Lyrics are Capricon-like as well - a little - end of the world -like but humorous and clever. Here is for you to judge and enjoy. After this we will look forward in a true Aquarian sense - looking into the future and dreaming is what Aquarius is all about.

Give Me Everything Tonight (Pitbull)

Me not working hard?
Yea right picture that with a kodak
And better yet, go to times square
Take a picture of me with a kodak
Took my life from negative to positive
And I just want y'all know that
And tonight, let's enjoy life

Tonight I will love love you tonight
Give me everything tonight
For all we know we might not get tomorrow
Let's do it tonight
I will love love you tonight
Give me everything tonight
For all we know we might not get tomorrow
Lets do it tonight

Give Me Everything

Capricorn and Golf

My son loves golf so I feel compelled to write something about this sport. Not the best golfer myself I believe there is very little I can write about golf without sounding a little silly. All of you golfers out there forgive me my ignorance and my fellow astrologers - I will try to make it all astrologically sound. I just had a though. If I could write about a sport that is typical for each sign the one that first comes to my mind in a relationship to Capricorn is rock climbing. OK, you astrologers out there laugh at me now - Capricorn, the sign of the Goat and rock climbing. Obviously it does not take a rocket scientist to figure this our. My mom is a Capricorn and she does not like rock climbing - my Cancer father loved rock climbing. But you get the picture - Capricorn wants to achieve bigger and better, climb the heights, achieve the goals - just like that commercial that is on TV now - the girl that does not want any diamonds, but instead, she climbs the "biggest rock." I will see if I can find a link to it. So I have diverted. From rock climbing to golf. From the grayness of the mountains to the lush greens. I think that golf is a Capricornian sport. You get 18 holes - you can prove to yourself 18 times how great - or not - you are. One round of golf takes a while - four hours or so. Over and over again, you get to set a new goal. Each swing, each strike, on every green, you have a brand new beginning. Golf is a classy sport, rather fancy if you will, which is in harmony with Capricorn who can appreciate all these aspects of golf - from the attire to the clubhouse. Like most of us when I thought of golf I thought of Tiger Woods. That was before my son started golfing. I have learned a thing or two about golf thanks to my husband and our son. I know that there are many successful golfers in the world. This made me also realize that golfing is an extremely difficult and competitive sport - there are recreational golfers, professional golfers, golf instructors, golf wannabes, disappointed golfers, depressed golfers etc. This all makes me appreciate the drive and the success of Tiger Woods even more. Tiger Woods was born on December 30th, 1975 in Cypress, California. He is one of the most successful golfer of his time and the highest paid professional athlete in the world. He has more career major wins and career PGA Tour wins than any other active golfer does. I wanted to close my thoughts with this final video - no comment necessary - truly a Capricorn child - old soul.
When they are young they are serious and when they are older they are having more fun :)

Happy Birthday to you, my Capricorn friends!

Capricorn and the Heart of Gold

Capricorn rules the 10th House which represents the career, ambition, our goals and desires. Famous sports people are not all born under the Sun sign of Capricorn - but their willpower, perseverance and the drive to take it to the next level are very typical Capricornian qualities. Muhammad Ali - an American former professional boxer, philanthropist and social activist - was born on January 17, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky, USA. Mohammad Ali has had several battles to fight - from the ones in the boxing ring during his career (he never entered the fight unprepared - Capricornian quality), to his battles against social injustice, and finally - his biggest battle with Parkinson's disease. Life has not been kind to many people born under this sign but they often continue, putting one foot forward, one step at a time. Perhaps we can all learn some of the earthy qualities this sign represents - perseverance, not letting go of your dreams, keeping our cool even when we feel otherwise. We might not ever achieve the legend like status but it is not about the status even though there is so much being said in astrology books about Capricorn and its career seeking mind, status hungry personality and so on. Behind that austere and driven behaviour there is a heart of gold.

Annie Lennox

Who are some of the famous people born under the Sun sign of Capricorn? The first one that comes to my mind is Annie Lennox truly my favourite female performer. Annie Lennox was born on December 25, 1954 in Aberdeen, Scotland. She was an only child. Annie had piano lessons at school from the age of seven years old, she loved music and she loved to sing – although introverted and shy – not surprising in a Capricorn child. A natural musician, she was accepted into London’s Royal Academy of Music where she studied the classical flute. What came next was a minor success with the former band Tourists and a major international success when Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart formed Eurythmics. Her trademark – the most beautiful and soulful voice with contralto overtones, strikingly attractive lady dressed in a man’s suit and with a boyish haircut. There is a slight hint of sorrow in her songs – Capricornian seriousness, old soul melancholy (Here Comes the Rain Again), searching for answers (Why?) and perseverance. Reaching new heights over and over again, reinventing her style but staying true to simplicity and class is another Capricorn trademark. Capricorn never gives up and he or she keeps refining everything to the smallest detail. Annie Lennox later continued with her solo career in the 90s with her debut album Diva. Today Annie Lennox continues to produce wonderful music (my favourite – A Christmas Cornucopia) and is a tireless political activist and philanthropist. Are Capricorn guys uptight and boring?

They say that Capricorn guys are uptight and conservative. Well, not when it comes to David Bowie. Again, fairly conservative in the way of appearance – think suit and polished look. But think again and what you get is a professional style mixed with funky, crazy, punk rockstar Ziggy Stardust – David Bowie. David Bowie was born on January 8, 1947 in England. Although most would think that David Bowie is more an Aquarian than a Capricorn I have to say that even Capricornians are known to be eccentric. According to David Bowie’s birth chart, his prominent planet is Saturn. Saturn is the ruling planet of Capricorn but not all Capricornians have Saturn as their prominent planet. David Bowie’s look is austere and serious but that is only on the outside. This is a kind of modesty or reserve. Straightforwardness, deep and wise personality and a warm golden heart hides behind this relatively stark and eclectic exterior. With his Moon in Leo, this artist has a very creative mind and imagination. Moon in Leo makes his a natural performer. David Bowie’s career spans through multiple decades, his music is always changing while still staying true to his style. OK, so with all this Capricornian seriousness here is a clip from 1972 – before my time – kind of funky and entertaining. What do you think? Capricorn does not have to be all gloom and doom.

A Whiter Shade of Pale

This is truly a Capricorn story.

Winter is here!

At our house...

The Sun in Aquarius

Yes, the Sun is now in Aquarius. Moon and Mercury are in Capricorn and so is Pluto. The unusual snowfall here in the Pacific Northwest has given us the time to slow down, get lazy and still feel a little guilty about it all – no wonder – the Sun was in Capricorn. I have too, procrastinated in everything I could. I have spent time with my family, sledding and snowboarding, playing games, watching movies and baking. But where did the time go?
