Capricorn and the Heart of Gold

Capricorn rules the 10th House which represents the career, ambition, our goals and desires. Famous sports people are not all born under the Sun sign of Capricorn - but their willpower, perseverance and the drive to take it to the next level are very typical Capricornian qualities. Muhammad Ali - an American former professional boxer, philanthropist and social activist - was born on January 17, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky, USA. Mohammad Ali has had several battles to fight - from the ones in the boxing ring during his career (he never entered the fight unprepared - Capricornian quality), to his battles against social injustice, and finally - his biggest battle with Parkinson's disease. Life has not been kind to many people born under this sign but they often continue, putting one foot forward, one step at a time. Perhaps we can all learn some of the earthy qualities this sign represents - perseverance, not letting go of your dreams, keeping our cool even when we feel otherwise. We might not ever achieve the legend like status but it is not about the status even though there is so much being said in astrology books about Capricorn and its career seeking mind, status hungry personality and so on.
