Capricorn and Golf

My son loves golf so I feel compelled to write something about this sport. Not the best golfer myself I believe there is very little I can write about golf without sounding a little silly. All of you golfers out there forgive me my ignorance and my fellow astrologers - I will try to make it all astrologically sound. I just had a though. If I could write about a sport that is typical for each sign the one that first comes to my mind in a relationship to Capricorn is rock climbing. OK, you astrologers out there laugh at me now - Capricorn, the sign of the Goat and rock climbing. Obviously it does not take a rocket scientist to figure this our. My mom is a Capricorn and she does not like rock climbing - my Cancer father loved rock climbing. But you get the picture - Capricorn wants to achieve bigger and better, climb the heights, achieve the goals - just like that commercial that is on TV now - the girl that does not want any diamonds, but instead, she climbs the "biggest rock." I will see if I can find a link to it. So I have diverted. From rock climbing to golf. From the grayness of the mountains to the lush greens. I think that golf is a Capricornian sport. You get 18 holes - you can prove to yourself 18 times how great - or not - you are. One round of golf takes a while - four hours or so. Over and over again, you get to set a new goal. Each swing, each strike, on every green, you have a brand new beginning. Golf is a classy sport, rather fancy if you will, which is in harmony with Capricorn who can appreciate all these aspects of golf - from the attire to the clubhouse. Like most of us when I thought of golf I thought of Tiger Woods. That was before my son started golfing. I have learned a thing or two about golf thanks to my husband and our son. I know that there are many successful golfers in the world. This made me also realize that golfing is an extremely difficult and competitive sport - there are recreational golfers, professional golfers, golf instructors, golf wannabes, disappointed golfers, depressed golfers etc. This all makes me appreciate the drive and the success of Tiger Woods even more. Tiger Woods was born on December 30th, 1975 in Cypress, California. He is one of the most successful golfer of his time and the highest paid professional athlete in the world. He has more career major wins and career PGA Tour wins than any other active golfer does. I wanted to close my thoughts with this final video - no comment necessary - truly a Capricorn child - old soul.
When they are young they are serious and when they are older they are having more fun :)

Happy Birthday to you, my Capricorn friends!
